The practice was founded in 1980 by Dr. Jack Shuler. He started the veterinary hospital in a small house on the current location. The practice quickly outgrew the house requiring the construction of a new 5000 square foot hospital on the site.

The hospital itself has been doubled in size to 10,000 square feet and has been remodeled to provide a state of the art intensive care area.
